With a policy based on the constant adaptation to the new advancements and requirements of the relevant standards and regulations, ilicon has recently successfully completed, through its manufacturing division -TALOS METALLBAU Company, the process of control and certification by an accredited and notified body in accordance with the harmonized standard EN 16034-2014 and the Construction Products Regulation (CPR, Regulation No. 305/2011).

According to the Product Standard EN 16034 “Pedestrian doorsets, industrial, commercial, garage doors and openable windows – Product standard, performance characteristics – Fire resisting and/or smoke control characteristic”, fabricators are obliged to produce the above-mentioned products with CE Marking. Fire and smoke products are covered by The Assessment and Verification of Constancy of Performance (AVCP) System 1, which requires at least an annual third-party monitoring, particularly demanding as it includes detailed inspections and requires full documentation of the fabrication of products similar to the ones described in the Initial Type Testing (ITT) reports.

More specifically, ilicon owns a “Certificate of Constancy of Performance” for the products manufactured, that has been issued by a Notified Product Certification Body after inspection of the Factory Production Control System (FPC). Therefore, the fire-resistant constructions concerning external openable doorsets and external openable windows designed and marketed by ilicon are accompanied by a written Declaration of Performance and bear CE Marking in accordance with the EN 16034: 2014 Product Standard.
